A social economy organization
We are a non-profit organization dedicated to helping people in need. We are dedicated to fighting poverty and social exclusion, to helping and supporting people by giving them a second chance. And we do this in various ways, through our many services.
Giving back to the community
We’re a strictly social organization, with no intention of financial gain. Our mission is to give back to those in need, to plant the seeds of goodness and to shine through our many social, community and environmental initiatives, as well as our desire to work in synergy with other social partners.
The Châteauguay Community Centre promotes community sharing. We collect all kinds of items, including clothes, furniture, and home appliances. They’ll then either be sold at a modest price at our community thrift shop or donated free as part of our material assistance program for individuals and families experiencing financial difficulties. We also provide emergency food service.

An agent of change
The Community Center serves as an agent of change for people undergoing reintegration, integration or in need of professional training. We help them develop their full potential in society and in the workforce. We are proud to create a rewarding and inspiring environment that provides a second chance for many people.
A key player for the environment
We are deeply committed to protecting the environment. We’re dedicated to preserving it through collecting, recovering, and recycling items that would have ended up in our landfills. Through these various initiatives, we aim to reduce the amount of residual materials released into the environment by encouraging recycling. Donations are given a second life instead of ending up in landfill.
